Definitely random musings…

OI! So I’ve spent almost an hour to line up a ride to get home tonight… thank goodness I have a friend that doesn’t mind coming to get me and take me home. I feel awful about it. But I don’t really want to sit here three hours after I’m off shift. 😦

We need a second car. If our shifts were closer together it wouldn’t be a problem. I can’t adjust mine. And I don’t know if his boss would adjust his…. he works retail, I think it could be done. But hey, that’s just me.

Anywho…just needed to vent for a minute. I hope ya’ll are doing well in your little corners of the globe. Stay warm, stay safe! more creative stuff over the weekend, I’m in the mood to get ready for Valentine’s day. 😀

Laters have an amazing day!

Martyrs’ Day in Panama
January 9, 2014 in Panama

Martyrs’ Day in Panama is observed on January 09, 2014. Martyrs’ Day is a Panamanian holiday which commemorates the January 9, 1964 riots over sovereignty of the Panama Canal Zone. The riot started after a Panamanian flag was torn during conflict between Panamanian students and Canal Zone Police officers, over the right of the Panamanian flag to be flown alongside the U.S. flag. U.S. Army units became involved in suppressing the violence after Canal Zone police were overwhelmed, and after three days of fighting, about 21 Panamanians and four U.S. soldiers were killed. The incident is considered to be a significant factor in the U.S. decision to transfer control of the Canal Zone to Panama through the 1977 Torrijos–Carter Treaties.
