A Happy moment

So some backstory before the pix; Hubs collects M&M’s stuff, so yes we own these big M&M display pieces. I bought them for him for his birthday, Yule, etc. Last year I got him Ms Brown for our anniversary. LOL 😀 These pix were taken before that. He had gotten bored one day when he was off and decided to surprise me. I came home from work and found this! LOL 😀

His M&M’s playing cards and using little M&M’s as chips. And yes, Red is wearing hubs fish hat!! LOL 😀

Serfs Emancipation Day
March 28, 2014 in China
Serfs Emancipation Day is celebrated on March 28, 2014. Serf Liberation day is an annual holiday in the Tibet Autonomous Region, which celebrates the emancipation of serfs in Tibet. The holiday was adopted by the Tibetan legislature on January 19, 2009, and was promulgated that same year. In modern Tibetan history, March 28, 1959, was the day that the Tibetan government was declared illegal by the People’s Republic of China, which according to official Chinese history, liberated Tibetans from feudalism and theocracy. The head of that former government, the 14th Dalai Lama, calls the holiday a diversion from current problems in Tibet.

Eggsibit Day
March 28, 2014 in the World
Today is Eggsibit Day! Eggsibits (art exhibits of beautifully decorated eggs) take place each spring all around the world. At the annual Eggsibit in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, judges from the National Egg Art Guild award prizes for the most original, the most beautiful, and the most humorous egg designs.
People have been decorating eggs for centuries. One of the traditional forms of this ancient art is the wax-resist method, which is popular in eastern Europe. Artists use a stylus to create a design on the egg with melted beeswax before dipping it in the dye. The wax seals that section of the design so it doesn’t absorb the color. They adjust the wax and repeat the process with different colored dyes to create an intricate pattern.
Invite some friends over for an evening of decorating, and host your own eggsibit!

Something on a Stick Day
March 28, 2014 in the World
Something on a Stick Day is observed on March 28, 2014. The holiday celebrates things on a stick like popsicles, corndogs and marshmallows. The celebration of Something on a Stick Day is really easy: 1. get a stick; 2. push something on it; 3. have fun with your creation!
Skewered foods are a popular example for things on a stick. A skewer is a thin metal or wood stick used to hold pieces of food together. They are used while grilling or roasting meats, and in other culinary applications.
Small, often decorative, skewers of glass, metal, wood or bamboo known as “olive picks” are used for garnishes on cocktails and other alcoholic beverages. Many types of snack food are sold and served “on a stick” or skewer, especially at outdoor markets, fairs, and sidewalk or roadside stands.

National Black Forest Cake Day
March 28, 2014 in the USA
Black Forest Cake — a combination of chocolate cake, whipped cream and cherries — hails from Southern Germany. The “black forest” portion of the name refers to the Germain mountain range, not because the cake originated there, but because the area manufactures the specialty Kirschwasser liquor used in the original German recipe. While most American recipes forego the alcohol, in Germany it is illegal to market the dessert as a true Black Forest Cake (Schwarzwalder Kirschtorte) without the liquor ingredient.
