Green or not Green?

A debate I hear every year… to have green witches or not. Personally, I say let’s go Green!

Just leave those horrible warts off. I don’t have warts! LOL 😛 I am an Earth Sign and duh, our color is Green! I understand why some witches have an issue with it. But on the other hand, it gives us a starting place for discussion. Just keep calm and stay logical! Which can be difficult, but you win arguments with honey and not vinegar! 😉 Try to remember that green is a color of Earth, Spring, Money. To quote Kermit, “It ain’t easy being Green.” But… Green living is Brilliant. Stop worrying about this, it’s only offensive if you see it that way.  There are multiple other issues to be offended and upset by; injustice, intolerance, ignorance.  This is just a little thing. If anything, do what I’ve done. Offer to apply their make up for them. Make them absolutely fabulous and leave off those horrid warts! 😀 This works!! DSCN1732

So I challenge my fellow Witches, to change your Avi on FB to a green Witch! And actually, anyone that wants to be supportive, join us. The more the merrier! 😀 I’m even supplying a few here:

I’m going a step further… and changing a few things here as well! 😀

Show the others that it doesn’t bother you, that you have a sense of humor. I get inundated every year with the witch flying into a house, squashed under a house… EH! It’s kinda sad, that’s how we’re portrayed, but until we speak out… nothing will get changed! However, remember, logic and calm. Water flows softly, but look at the Grand Canyon! 😀 I always Bless people well, not curse them. Remember the Rule of Three! So if we bless them and wish them onto a better life, tolerance, etc. It comes back to us three times. I like doing it this way, I’m only strengthening myself and them.  Peacefully! Change the world gently!

Bright-blessings

International Day of the Girl Child
October 11, 2014 in the World
International Day of the Girl Child takes place on October 11, 2014. International Day of the Girl Child is an international observance day declared by the United Nations. The observation supports more opportunity for girls, and increases awareness of inequality faced by girls worldwide based upon their gender. This inequality includes areas such as access to education, nutrition, legal rights, medical care, and protection from discrimination, violence and unfree child marriage. The International Day of the Girl Child initiative began as a project of Plan International, a non-governmental organization that operates worldwide. The idea for an international day of observance and celebration grew out of Plan International’s Because I Am a Girl campaign, which raises awareness of the importance of nurturing girls globally and in developing countries in particular. October 11, 2012, was the first Day of the Girl.

General Pulaski Memorial Day
October 11, 2014 in the USA
General Pulaski Memorial Day is observed on October 11, 2014. General Pulaski Memorial Day is a United States holiday in honor of General Kazimierz Pu?aski, a Polish hero of the American Revolution. This holiday is held every year on October 11 by Presidential Proclamation, to commemorate his death from wounds suffered at the Siege of Savannah on October 9, 1779 and to honor the heritage of Polish Americans. The observance was established in 1929 when Congress passed a resolution (Public Resolution 16 of 1929) designating October 11 as General Pulaski Memorial Day. Every President has issued a proclamation for the observance annually since (except in 1930). This is separate holiday from the regional holiday in the Chicago area titled Casimir Pulaski Day that commemorates Pulaski’s birth on March 4, 1746.

Coming Out Day
October 11, 2014 in the World
National Coming Out Day (NCOD) is an internationally observed civil awareness day which takes place on October 11, 2014. One this day people are celebrating individuals who publicly identify as bisexual, gay, lesbian, transgender – coming out regarding one’s sexual orientation or gender identity being akin to a cultural rite of passage for so called LGBT people. The holiday is observed annually by members of the gay community and their straight allies.
The National Coming Out Day was founded in 1988, by Dr. Robert Eichberg, his partner William Gamble, and Jean O’Leary to celebrate the Second National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights one year earlier. After a media push in 1990, NCOD was observed in all 50 US-states and seven other countries. The holiday is observed in a wide variety of ways: from rallies and parades to information tables in public spaces.
Coming out (of the closet) is a figure of speech for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people’s disclosure of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity. Framed and debated as a privacy issue, coming out of the closet is described and experienced variously as a psychological process or journey; a means toward feeling gay pride instead of shame and social stigma; or even career suicide.
