Now this is a mother’s love and devotion. I hope she recovers well. =^.^=

Scarlett (cat)

On March 30, 1996, Scarlett and her five kittens were in an abandoned garage allegedly used as a crack house in Brooklyn when a fire started from undetermined causes. The New York City Fire Department responded to a call about the fire and quickly extinguished it. When the fire was under control, one of the firefighters on the scene, David Giannelli, noticed Scarlett carrying her kittens away from the garage one by one.

Scarlett herself had been severely burned in the process of pulling her kittens from the fire. Her eyes were blistered shut, her ears and paws burned, and her coat highly singed. The majority of her facial hair had been burnt away. After saving the kittens she was seen to touch each of her kittens with her nose to make sure they were all there and alive, as the blisters on her eyes kept her from being able…

To share my thankfulness today! I have a new clinical supervisor, yes. Since I haven’t passed my licensing examination…yet. I get a clinical supervisor to help me out with that! So that’s my THANKFULNESS for the day. I have taken the seminar twice…and have been stubborn not to ask for accommodations. However. I’ve come to the realization that I do need those accommodations.  Extra time, a private room and food. After the heart attack, my test anxiety has tripled, with the diabetes, I’m easily stressed and my blood sugar drops, so why the food. With my focusing issues I need a quiet room to my self. So time to stop being stubborn and ask for the assistance. First up, working with my new mini boss. LOL 🙂 that’s what I informed her I was going to call her, she giggled, so it’s all good. I’d hate to have a supervisor with no sense of humor. It’d be okay, but… it’d be a little difficult too. I can be serious when I need to be, but I like to balance all the stuff I do in a day with my unique re; wacky sense of humor.

So Woohooo! Day four and I’m seeing more in a day that I’m thankful for. Have you been doing this? So far, how are you doing?

I’m also thankful for my friends that ensure that the coffee pot does not go dry. 😛 remember little things count too! lol

XOXO

Calendar day; November 4, 2014

Tuesday, the 4th of November, 2014 is the 308th day in 2014 and in the 45th calendar week.
General Events:
Election Day in the United States
November 4, 2014 in the USA
Election Day in the United States is celebrated on November 04, 2014. Election Day in the United States is the day set by law for the general elections of public officials. It occurs on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November, which is usually also the first Tuesday in November. The earliest possible date is November 2 and the latest possible date is November 8. For federal offices (President, Vice President, and United States Congress), Election Day occurs only in even-numbered years.
Presidential elections are held every four years, in years divisible by four, in which electors for President and Vice President are chosen according to the method determined by each state. Elections to the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate are held every two years; all Representatives serve two-year terms and are up for election every two years, while Senators serve six-year terms, staggered so that one-third of Senators are elected in any given general election.
General elections in which presidential candidates are not on the ballot are referred to as midterm elections. Many state and local government offices are also elected on Election Day as a matter of convenience and cost saving, although a handful of states hold elections for state offices (such as governor) during odd-numbered “off years”, or during other even-numbered “midterm years”.
Election Day is a civic holiday in some states, including Delaware, Hawaii, Kentucky, Montana, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, West Virginia, and the territory of Puerto Rico. Some other states require that workers be permitted to take time off from employment without loss of pay. California Elections Code Section 14000 provides that employees otherwise unable to vote must be allowed two hours off with pay, at the beginning or end of a shift.

King Tut Day 2014
November 4, 2014 in the World
King Tut Day is celebrated on November 04, 2014. It celebrates the date of the discovery of King Tutankhamen’s Tomb. Tutankhamun was the 11th pharaoh of Dynasty 18 of the New Kingdom in Ancient Egypt, making his mummy over 3,300 years old. The discovery of the tomb as a whole was one of the most significant and famous archeological discoveries in modern times. The tomb was discovered on November 4, 1922.
Since the discovery of Tutankhamun’s mummy, there has been a lot of speculation and theories on the exact cause of death, which until recent studies had been hard to prove with the evidence and data available. While it was a widely debated topic for many Egyptologists, it had also spread to the general public as popular culture has come up with many conspiracy theories that played out in movies, TV shows, and fictional books.

Russian Unity Day
November 4, 2014 in Russia
Russian Unity Day is celebrated on November 04, 2014. Unity Day (also called Day of People’s Unity or National Unity Day) is national holiday in Russian Federation. It commemorates the popular uprising which expelled Polish–Lithuanian occupation forces from Moscow in November 1612, and more generally the end of the Time of Troubles and the Polish–Muscovite War (1605–1618). The day’s name alludes to the idea that all classes of Russian society united to preserve Russian statehood when there was neither a tsar nor a patriarch to guide them. In 1613 tsar Mikhail Romanov instituted a holiday named Day of Moscow’s Liberation from Polish Invaders. It was celebrated in the Russian Empire until 1917, when it was replaced with a commemoration of the Russian Revolution. Unity Day was reinstituted by the Russian Federation in 2005, since when the year 1612 has been celebrated instead of 1917 every November 4. The day is also the feast day of the Russian Orthodox icon of Our Lady of Kazan.

National Use Your Common Sense Day
November 4, 2014 in the USA
I think I just found out what’s wrong with the world. November 4 is Use Your Common Sense Day. That leaves 364 days of the year where we aren’t using our common sense.
November 4th is Use Your Common Sense Day, a day that “celebrates common sense in business and in life.” This no-nonsense holiday is observed each year on the birth anniversary of Will Rogers, who was quoted as saying “common sense ain’t all that common.” Bud Bilanich, an internationally recognized speaker, succhess coach, and author created Use Your Common Sense Day because he was concerned that he “often finds a lack of common sense — in life and in work.”
So, whatever you do today, make sure you use your common sense while doing it.
