Thursday, the 15th of January, 2015 is the 15th day in 2015 and in the 3rd calendar week.
General Events:
National Humanitarian Day
January 15, 2015 in the USA
Humanity is a word which transcends race, country, language, age, religion or culture. Humanity consists of all peoples in the planet Earth united as one. Unfortunately, this remains a dream. For to truly be united as one, each country would respect the other countries and help them as they would their own countrymen.
National Humanitarian Day is the ?rst day of the three annual “Emancipation Days of Respect” created to honor Martin Luther King Jr. to promote unity, respect and remembrance. January 15 was chosen as it corresponds to his birthday
The second annual day, Victims of Violence Holy Day, is observed on Martin Luther King Jr.’s death anniversary, April 4. The last annual day, Dream Day Quest and Jubilee, is on August 28 marking the anniversary of his speech entitled “I Have a Dream.”
This day is dedicated to those who helped end racial separation in America and is observed by encouraging people to wear white. Donating money or services to charitable or philanthropic institutions or activities would also be perfect. Fund raising campaigns for humanitarian causes, through concerts, are also done during this day.

The Army rededicates itself to become a part of the ‘War Winning Team’ on this day. The day begins with paying homage to the martyred soldiers at the Amar Jawan Jyoti at the India Gate, New Delhi. It is followed by parades and many military shows which feature the technology and achievements in Army which is held at the Delhi Cantonment every year. Unit credentials and Sena Medals are also presented for gallantry on the occasion.

Anyone who can access the site can edit almost any of its articles.

National Hat Day
January 15, 2015 in the USA
National Hat Day is set aside to wear and enjoy a hat of your choice and style. Isn’t it great that hats come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and styles? There’s one to fit every size head and personality. Often, hats are used to make a statement, or to promote a cause or a product.
Oh yeah… hats have logical uses, too. Some hats (Aka helmets), offer safety protection. Some hats keep your head warm, or the sun out of your eyes….how boring.
National Hat Day is not intended to just keep your noggin warm. Its a chance to make a statement and to display you favorite headgear. We suggest you wear a number of different hats over the course of the day.
Did you know? More body heat is lost from your head than other parts of the body. So, wearing a hat goes a long way towards staying warm on a cold winter’s day (or night).
