Tuesday, the 14th of July, 2015 is the 195th day in 2015 and in the 29th calendar week.
General Events:
Bastille Day 2015
July 14, 2015 in France
Bastille Day is observed on July 14, 2015. Bastille Day is the name given in English-speaking countries to the French National Day, which is celebrated on the 14th of July each year. In France, it is formally called La Fête Nationale and commonly Le quatorze juillet. It commemorates the 1790 Fête de la Fédération, held on the first anniversary of the storming of the Bastille on 14 July 1789.
The anniversary of the storming of the Bastille fortress-prison was seen as a symbol of the uprising of the modern nation, and of the reconciliation of all the French inside the constitutional monarchy which preceded the First Republic, during the French Revolution. Festivities and official ceremonies are held all over France. The oldest and largest regular military parade in Europe is held on the morning of 14 July, on the Champs-Élysées avenue in Paris in front of the President of the Republic, French officials and foreign guests.

Shark Awareness Day
July 14, 2015 in the World
Contrary to expectations, the purpose of Shark Awareness Day is not to stand on the beach and shout out warnings to terrified swimmers and surfers, despite the hours of innocent fun that can provide.
It’s true that sharks are impressive hunters and predators, yet the sad fact remains that these magnificent creatures are more threatened by people than we are by sharks. The worldwide demand for shark-fin soup, shark-tooth medallions, and a false sense of security on beaches everywhere, all combine to leave sharks persecuted and endangered, with millions of them being killed each year.
Like top predators in any ecosystem, sharks play an essential role in keeping the seas healthy and productive. Whilst no-one is suggesting we go out and hug a Great White on Shark Awareness Day, it’s the least we can do to respect these wonderful creatures and let them be.
*Sharks are at greater risk from humans than humans are from sharks: The World Wildlife Fund suggests that around 100m sharks are killed every year, often targeted for their fins which are used to make soup, or because they are caught in lines designed for other fish. Overfishing and the illegal fishing of sharks is also depleting their numbers. A number of shark species, including the Daggernose shark and Gray nurse shark are on the endangered list.

Pandemonium Day
July 14, 2015 in the World
Pandemonium Day takes place on July 14, 2015. It does not really matter what people do on Pandemonium Day because this is a day of chaos, terror and disorder. The word pandemonium is Greek and it stands for the capital of hell. All demons are considered to live there. This imagination goes back to the black-verse epic poem “Paradise Lost” by John Milton, a blind 17th century author.
On Pandemonium Day people should accept that chaos is a part of life and they can never eliminate it completely. But of course there are many ways to fight chaos in everyday live: files, post-its, shelves, to-do-lists, boxes and recorded rules of living together help us to keep track of the chaos, not only on Pandemonium Day.

International Nude Day 2015
July 14, 2015 in the World
International Nude Day is the day for people to feel free to take their clothes off without being thought of as a freak. It aims at honoring people’s freedom, naturism and the original raw beauty. It happens annually on July 4th.
Being naked and wandering around the town are too weird to do on a normal day. Everyone finds themselves safe in their clothes even though they are sometimes tight, uncomfortable and nothing of their interest.
International Nude Day was originated from New Zealand not long ago, within the term of Prime Minister Helen Elizabeth Clark from 1999 to 2008. The founder of International Nude Day was Marc Ellis who was famous for his role as a rugby players as well as a TV program host. He challenged all other New Zealand people to go naked in front of Helen Clark. Many people were inspired to follow his call for action, especially students in Dunedin University in the South of New Zealand. Afterwards, this day has been spread to other Western countries.
