this image is very personal today, trying to get rid of a migraine! I think the weather changes  are really affecting me badly lately; between the fibro pain and headaches of different intensities, I’m down today! 😦

Cuddle Up Day 2016
January 6, 2016 in the World
Cuddle Up Day takes place on January 06, 2016. Cuddle Up Day should be a cosy and relaxing day to simply feel good. The creator of Cuddle Day is not known, the only recorded event is when the word cuddle was first used in 1520. Everyone can take part in Cuddle Up Day activities. He or she simply needs to be in a homelike mood and have some free time.
It’s time to make yourself a hot chocolate with plenty of marshmallows, pull on your PJs and snuggle up with a teddy bear, a good book, or maybe even another human being if you’re especially lucky. Especially when it is cold and rainy outside it feels very good to put on easy clothes and cuddle oneself into cosy pillows and blankets.

National Bean Day
January 6, 2016 in the USA
Green, red, dark red, kidney, lima, soy and etc. are just a few of the different kinds of beans that are recognized and celebrated on National Bean Day which is every year on January 6.
This day celebrates the bean vegetable in all sizes, shapes and colors.  Beans (legumes) are one of the longest-cultivated plants dating back to the early seventh millennium BC.
Today, just as throughout the Old and New World history, beans are an important source of protein.  A very healthy choice for any meal or snack, they are also an excellent source of fiber, are low in fat and are high in complex carbohydrates, folate and iron.
Significant amounts of fiber and soluble fiber are found in beans as one cup of cooked beans provide between 9 and 13 grams of fiber.  Soluble fiber can help in lowering blood cholesterol.
There are approximately 40,000 bean varieties in the world. Only a fraction of these varieties are mass-produced for regular consumption.

Little Christmas
January 6, 2016 in Ireland
Little Christmas is observed on January 06, 2016. Little Christmas is one of the traditional names in Ireland for 6 January, more commonly known in the rest of the world as the Feast of the Epiphany. It is so called because under the older Julian calendar, Christmas Day celebrations fell on that day whereas under the Gregorian calendar it falls on 25 December. It is the traditional end of the Christmas season and the last day of the Christmas holidays for both primary and secondary schools in Ireland. In other parts of the world, it is sometimes referred to as Old Christmas or Old Christmas Day, so called for the same reasons as in Ireland, in that this was the traditional day of celebration under the Julian calendar.

El Dia de Reyes (Three Kings Day)
January 6, 2016 in Mexico
January the 6th is a special day in Mexico. Known as ‘El Dia de Reyes’ (Three Kings Day), this holiday represents the height of the Christmas season. The date marks the culmination of the twelve days of Christmas and commemorates the three wise men who traveled from afar, bearing gifts for the infant baby Jesus. The children of Mexico in particular look forward to this holiday as traditionally, gifts are exchanged on this date, not on Christmas day.
In Mexico and many other Latin American countries, Santa Claus doesn’t hold the cachet that he does in the United States. Rather, it is the three wise men who are the bearers of gifts, who leave presents in or near the shoes of small children. The holiday is also known by the name of the Epiphany which dates back to the 4th century. A grand feast would be held on this day to honor the occasion of Jesus’ baptism and to pay homage to the three wise men.
