Are we a ‘team’ or not?

I love these new ‘Team’ groups, where everyone is supposed to work collaboratively! That is what I’ve always wanted to be part of here. It sounds awesome, right?

Here’s the problem,
My teammate is an Ass! “Oh, you’ve got this! And no I’m not going to send you an email to remind you! That’s NOT MY JOB!”

okay, I am a DAV with a TBI, I have made it known that I require people to send me texts/emails to remind me of important stuff. I have alarms set on my phone/watch so I ensure I’m where I need to be when I need to be there! And this person, once said, “Oh no worries, I can text/email you whenever you need it!” So which one is it, helpful or an Ass!

And here’s some Passive Aggressive behavior for you, I’m no longer going to email her when she needs to know something to do her job! Is that wrong? NO. Is it rude? Maybe. Is it Passive Aggressive, oh hell yes!

This is exactly what I’ve been putting up with for years. So, yeah, yay team! Means yay me! There is no I in teams, but there is a ME! yep!!

OI! I hate this feeling! I’ve mentioned before, I’m a Type A person, which means I like doing things correctly and when they aren’t done that way, it gives me stress. Which is bad, as I have heart issues! I don’t know why people won’t work with my known disabilities? This is nothing new!! These are Reasonable Accommodations!! So much for a TEAM!

So, after much emailing about her doing something ‘wrong.’ She brought me back a Pepsi as a Peace gesture! She’s still an ass, but she now knows she’s not infallible and she needs to compromise!! yep! So, yes, I’ve emailed her what she needs to be aware of. I’m not a complete ASS! just a smart one! LOL 😀

Remembrance Day December 7, 1941

In my family today is remembered. I had a grandfather that survived Pearl Harbor when his friends and fellow sailors did not. 😦

Poster created by artist Allen Saalburg (June 25, 1899 – July 25, 1987) for the Office of War Information in January 1942. One of the first propaganda posters to be issued after the start of the war, it was commonly seen in factories and military bases around the United States. As the war progressed, instead of “Remember December 7th!” the slogan “Remember Pearl Harbor!” became more common in American propaganda. The quote is from President Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address. Allen Saalburg was born in Rochelle, Illinois. His father was a newspaper cartoonist and printer. Saalburg studied painting at Pratt Institute, and with William Sloan at the Art Students League. Saalburg, like many other artists, headed a project of the Works Progress Administration (WPA) during the 1930s in New York City, designing murals for Central Park’s Zoo, Arsenal, and other buildings. During the 1930s, he also designed magazine covers, theater and movie sets, and murals for the 1939-40 New York World’s Fair. After moving to Pennsylvania in the 1940s, he painted commercial murals and did silkscreens on paper and glass. When the war began, many of the WPA artists were tapped to create propaganda through painting and photography.

Happy 12 years of Blogging to me

I know, it’s not been continuous blogging, due to the Pandemic, Work, Health, and Family issues-passings, beginnings, and other life events. But overall, I’ve been here and I’ve recently started blogging again, remember those days of multiple postings in one day? Yeah, seems like that again. 😀 LOL

Vaccinate

Okay, I’ve got a lot of people I know that are getting really bad respiratory infections, that are causing them to lose work and put other people in jeopardy of acquiring their illness! Covid is still a thing! In fact, Indianapolis is still on high Covid Watch as it’s getting bad again! Why? Because people are not vaccinating and not wearing masks when they are ill!! Ugh

Vaccinations do not hurt!
We, hubs and I, have been vaccinated for Influenza and Covid and have had two or is it now 3 booster vaccinations. Keep yourself, your family, and your friends, safe, VACCINATE!

IOTD 12/6/22

It’s been a while since I’ve done an IOTD=Image of the Day, however, this morning, I woke up really discombobulated and out of sorts, the first images I pulled up while not necessarily violent, were more angry and RED! so what to do, find one in Blue! a calming color, keep the Phoenix, but change it’s meaning today. I need to stay calm and levelheaded. 😉

WOW! a new better Supervisor

I’m floored to have a supervisor that appears to be 1) human, 2) compassionate, 3) cares for her people and 4) not a micromanager!! Her liking Pepsi is just a bonus! LOL 😀

Seriously, I’m feeling good about this new supervisor while mine is on Maternity leave for the next two months, I’m wondering if I can keep her for longer than that! Seriously!

And below, I feel as if I’m the only person that likes snow! Honestly, if I can stay home and not have to drive on the icy roads, the better! But just snow alone, yes, I love snow! It’s just so peaceful!
