I am preparing for NaNoWriMo 2019

I have been either busy with work, busy with family issues, busy with health issues-mine or just plain wiped out, that I have not been feeling like doing anything.

I finally had a creativity bunny pop up and next thing I know, I’ve been coloring and then I saw what date it was.  Well, the other day, and I was talking to Patrick about possibly writing for NaNoWriMo and he said, “Awesome!” he bounced some ideas off of me and normally, I listen with half an ear, however, this time he mentioned something I liked a lot!

Patrick has always been supportive of my writing, and here are three plot bunnies he has bought me to help me keep my focus when writing. The yellow Bunny is Truffles from Tokidoki and he has spikes, Patrick says that they are “idea-generating antenna!” LOL, I love it!

Then this evening when I woke up he handed me a box, “It came!” and when I unwrapped it, here is what I saw.

This year Alexandria’s story is superhero related, so Patrick got me a superhero, Snowball Plot bunny to keep me focused! Awww!

He’s already supervising me.

Wascally widdle wabbit! lol

I’m sorry Stargate Rewind peeps, I just haven’t had the time or wherewithal to write the blog posts. As I wrote above, I’ve been busy and mentally exhausted. So at this time, there will be no Stargate Rewind until further notice.

WOOHOOO NaNoWriMo count!! *updated*

Yes, I had some time to write in a full day with no interruptions and Patrick even brought me coffee! He gets me. 🙂 The kitties had to have their loving time, and it was a good break time. I was able to write 20,000 between Friday and Saturday!!! that’s about right for punching it and no editing, just write-write-write!!! And stay off the internet!! That is the most important part! When I stop checking my numbers constantly, I can actually do some writing. I put the phone in another room and just open up my word document and go for it. Plus, I never know what my nights are going to be like, so best to write when I can.  Plus, I’ve got a bit of cushion now.  My strategy is to get as much out as I can, and then if I need to stop and gather some wayward thoughts, I’m not stressing as much!

Okay! WOOOHOOO!! Go Me! I added all the numbers together from Friday and Saturday, so yes, it looks like a huge chunk of writing. But staying off the net is the most important thing to do. 😉 FYI my full day is Friday and Saturday combined, I work third shift, so I took a nap on Friday after the mani/pedi relaxation, and then wrote until Sunday morning! I woke up Sunday night with a sinus migraine, so no writing then and a little bit last night and yes, I added that into the count too!

in other news, I can’t in good conscience follow someone that can’t spell or use grammar! there is an app called Grammarly!! LOOK INTO IT! omfg… people, you’re writing a blog? how old are you, thirteen? stop with the text speak, a little bit is fine, but your whole paragraph is nothing but misspelled words and then text speak! NO!! STOP!

 

 

NANOWRIMO aka I’m crazy! lol

Yes, I’m a plantser- I have an outline-kinda, and I’m ready to start!

I’m still waiting on artwork from last year’s or the year before, I’ve lost track! 

so I’ve updated the widgets in the right gutter! lol 😉

If you noticed the IOTD, it was my Winner banner from this year’s NaNoWriMo! That’s right, I won it again! WOOHOO!

so now what happens? 

Editing and revision happen! Once I get it to a point, I like, then I’ll be sending it off to a beta/proof-reader! And now, I’m waiting for the cover artwork! I’m sooo excited to see it! I gave hardly no direction as I’m being gifted this artwork, so when that happens, I let the artist do their work! Gary did the last cover for me too!

This was JiJi last night sitting by me, while I was writing on my NaNoWriMo novel!

na NO wrimo this year

I had started the third story… but then I realized, “YOU NEED to finish the revision of the sequel and post THAT STORY!” My brain yells really loud at me! LOL

So instead of doing the NaNoWriMo this year, I am using the time I schedule to write to focus and do my revision of the sequel. I think we’ve all waited long enough. 😦

I’m also looking at the original story again and will be offering both as epubs if anyone wants to download and read on their portable devices. And actually downloading them both and reading them has been helping me with the revisions. I obviously haven’t done a lot this week, and honestly… I’m still not quite with it to create. But a huge thank you to Steve for emailing me some art to color!! Now that I want to really really really do! LOL

so… off to go coloring now!

In other news, I’m still revising, my nano story to post on the my Plotbunny Musings blog I was hoping to have it already posted with the first two chapters. But well, life happens and I’ve been dealing with a lot of personal stuff too.

However, I do hope to get some writing in this weekend, starting Friday night after work. 😉 and that’s if I don’t get in and do some writing during lunch these next few days.

During NANOWriMO the goal is to write, not necessarily good writing, just get the words down and revise later. Yeah. So while I have a good story, some of what I wrote, I’m questioning myself now. lol and my beta hasn’t gone in yet and left me notes. So… time to go dig in and see what treasure I can transform. 😉

And it feels great! I’m still writing on the story as it’s not finished yet. But another NaNoWriMo completed and WON! 😀

decided I better ‘cap’ before midnight. 😉 and I’m taking a break. I’ve reached an area that I can do easy or make it interesting. I’m shooting for the interesting angle. 😉 till later. I think I smell popcorn and a movie next! lol
