OMG It’s been f o r e v e r

Hello,
I’ve been exceptionally busy since November 2019, when the powers that be decided to have me come back to the brick and mortar and do my job here in person. Let’s move forward to NOW! OMG! I’m now classified as an essential health care professional and in February this year, I was informed I now work on the IPU-inpatient unit. So, to clarify, I’m at work, NOT quarantined like everyone else! and I work on the inpatient unit! Today, I’m on call in my office because I have to catch up on the required E-Learnings. Required because they (powers) said so! Honestly, it’s all common sense to this Veteran! OH right, right! I was in the Army and learned this stuff there! Civilians, however, obviously need to learn this stuff! ugh, So I’m required to sacrifice -okay, insert drama llama here- hours to do this! and NO, I can not retrieve access to the company’s website from home to do this! SO! I’m in the building, but that’s groovy! it’s me by myself on the 1st floor, the support staff person in the basement- which is cool with me cause she goes from cranky to worse in a new york minute ugh, and then the inpatient unit is staffed with the Cool Peeps this weekend! *It’s not like any of them read my blog, so I can say the Cool Peeps!! The b team is cool too, but this is the A-Team this weekend! Boom BABY!

MY ANP aka Nurse Practioner bought masks for a majority of us, and I have bought 3 of them, 2 for me and 1 for Patrick for when he has to go out and do things. These are the bomb, 1-you can actually breathe with them on, 2-they’re lightweight, 3- there is a light metal that allows you to ‘pinch’ it close to your nose for complete correct coverage and 4-did I mention you can BREATHE with these on! They are much better made, high quality and low cost, all three masks are costing me, 12.00, that’s 4.00 each!! I will share the 411 on who makes them and if they are accepting orders outside of the local area!

They actually donated masks to the business but OMFG! GET THIS SHIT! someone (powers) decided that the INPATIENT UNIT workers, nurses, therapists, techs, and other related staff, did NOT need masks! WTF! let me spell that out; WHAT THE FUCK! they instead went to the maintenance people! who do not do face to face, one to one with people!! who the fuck decided that they need these masks!

Thankfully, Kelly knew who the mask makers were and ordered an amount for us to purchase from her! I’m grateful to her!! Truly!

Because supposedly, get this, we were given cloth masks that don’t adhere to any safety guideline and informed that we are to acquire 2 of them, and wash them daily! Blah blah blah! ugh

Lesson Learned!

 

Some ppl are nice and thank me for doing something, I do for myself and enjoy. They appear to appreciate what I do.

Others, on the other hand, are ungrateful little assholes! I’m not sugarcoating this entry!
I hate to be the one to tell everyone, but thank’s to one asshole until he apologizes or is sent packing, then NO I’m not putting myself up for more pain and negativity!

Then, I have ppl who once fucking again, don’t know how to read, I use Pigment to color my pictures, it’s NOT PHOTOSHOP PEOPLE! But it’s the only program I have! The laptop that I’m using is work owned!! Can’t put photoshop on here! The other laptop that I personally own doesn’t have enough space, and I can’t afford to upgrade that yet. So I’m fucking lucky that my iPad and iPen work fucking well with the pigment app!! Otherwise, I’d be worse off and unable to do what de-stresses and relaxes me! Well after the PM’s I’ve received tonight, fuck them!

I’ll be posting MY colors on my Creative Blog! And I’ll be posting my older colors that were btw done with photoshop and my Wacom tablet! The newer colors won’t be password protected. The majority of the others will be under password protection.

I’m just soooo angry and upset and depressed right now! I could punch someone!

I’m writing this to get it out and then maybe my chest will stop hurting and I won’t have to take that nitroglycerin tablet! People sometimes really don’t think before talking to me! I’m more fragile than I like to admit, actually! Ten years ago, I would’ve been hurt and then told them to fuck off and yet, continue on doing what I want! NOW! I’m still telling them to FUCK OFF! I’M GOING DO WHAT I WANT-BUT I’M HAVING CHEST PAINS Now, THANK YOU VERY MUCH YOU MOTHER FUCKING ASSHOLES!

so nitro time! fucking woohoo! you mother fucking assholes!

I promise tomorrow night, it’ll be better! I’ll be working on the Stargate Atlantis Rewind, yep! We kick it off this weekend!! WOOHOOO!

***UPDATE it took two nitroglycerin tablets for my chest to stop hurting. But still better than keeping all this shit bottled inside!

And the number 1 reason is?

NO health issues tonight, I did not have to take any of my nitroglycerin tablets, I had no Anxiety attacks, my blood pressure has stayed at a normal level and I feel good! OMG! I haven’t felt this good about work in a long while!!  Seriously, my number one reason is my HEALTH!!! I have too many stressors in the building still. One of them will be quitting soon. 😉

it wasn’t this good, but damn it was pretty close! Having the kitties helping me out and rubbing on me, was a bonus, I don’t have at work!! it’s true though, the cats do help with my stress and blood pressure levels! I’ve taken measurements of my bp before and after playing with the kitties.

 

This is interesting!

As most of you know, if you’ve been long-time readers, I have fibromyalgia on a daily basis, I fluctuate between an 8 to a debilitating 10! So, I’m always in pain, A L W A Y S ! A friend of mine knows I don’t mind trying New Age stuff and sent me a link to a YouTube video that uses various frequencies to help with pain, healing, sleep, focusing, etc. She knew I’d be interested in the one for pain.

Some ppl in the comments on the youtube site have written that within three minutes (Using headphones) their pain either lessened or went away completely!

Now, I’m a highly skeptical person. And I need to try this for myself, good news, it’s free! NO app needed, but I can tell you how to play it while you’re sleeping and have your phone go to sleep afterward and not go to the next video. 😉 if you want that info, that is.

I don’t use headphones while sleeping, and I’m not the type that can sit here and just listen to this on my headphones, but I’ll be trying it on the phone later doing just that though to see if it works faster that way for me. 😉

Bottom line: it worked for me. Without the headphones and listening to it while going to and while I was asleep, I slept really well. I woke up pain-free too! First time in years that I didn’t have to use an opiate to get that feeling. And with the VA cracking down on opiate usage, well, I don’t have those available anymore either. So now to download this to phone and use as needed. It worked for me without headphones, but the majority of the people that used headphones reported quicker results- and honestly who doesn’t want quicker results for pain, some people discussed having menstrual cramps and others dental/teeth pain. I don’t know about you, but for this to work with either one of those, WOW!

So I’m sharing this video, and hope that the people that use it, leave comments for me and those that have come up with it on their YouTube site. This is brilliant! They have some more that I’ll be trying over the next week or so. Yes, I have subscribed to their YouTube Channel!

has anyone noticed anything different?

LOL On the right side of the blog, aka the right gutter I have added a couple new widgets but my favorite is the Current Mood, and I have been changing it as my mood changes. Sometimes more than once a night, as we don’t always have the same mood during the course of a work shift.

I need to find a sleeping one, so that ppl that frequent my blog know I’m sleeping during the day- facebook friends that get upset that I don’t answer their PM’s, well look here is the current mood sleeping, then yes, I’m asleep. LOL

Copyrighted Images! OMG!!! Learn the Rules, KID!

As an artist, I don’t always put a huge C on my work, but Shutterstock, Dreamstime, Getty Images and other artist’s do!!!

I would NOT want to be the individual that is using Shutterstock, Dreamstime and Getty Images WITHOUT THEIR PERMISSION!!!

Which I just saw on a blog!! I’m facepalming while I’m thinking, do I need to start doing overlays on my work again?? I mean this person doesn’t obviously care or doesn’t know the law about copyrighted images!!!

Just because you see it on the internet doesn’t mean it’s yours to use!!!

Those images I color and post from various coloring page sites, yep, they have those rules- those images are for personal use and no using to profit from. I’m coloring and sharing what I colored, I’m not asking for money!

The other images I share that I’ve colored, I have the ARTIST’s permission to do so!!! As an artist, I am very good at ensuring I have or use a copyrighted item with permission or follow the site’s rules. But to use an obviously Copyrighted item, I mean here from his entry! I won’t list his name or the name of his blog, but let’s see if he notices this work!!!

I had a nice long convo with my favorite IT person, the female IT person that speaks my geek lingo. And she was able to reset and update some things and I’m able to do more now. 😉 Not a lot, but more than a few days ago when my frustration level hit a bad number and the IDGAF came out strong. 😦 bad…

Muta, where are you?

For those that don’t know, I’ve been trying to save/adopt another kitty as a companion for JiJi and the majority of shelters in Indiana are over capacity. But the ones I’ve called are not giving a break to ppl to adopt pets.

And then we have my Hometown, MUNCIE, which is!!

This Wednesday is $1.00 Adoption Day!

Most places don’t advertise pets as Presents for the holidays, but Muncie is, they don’t want these beautiful animals killed! Which is what could happen! So want a new friend, companion, furry family member. They will be open on Wednesday from 8-noon and then 1-5:30 pm. All pets are spayed/neutered!

Patrick is still not sure, he’s open to accepting donations for kitty food and litter! The most expensive items for pet owners. He has told me that PetSmart is having Black Friday deals now, so if they offer gift cards, that would be awesome to receive.

He also told me he gets to name the new kitty, and we’d like another black kitty like JiJi but whichever kitty chooses me, is who I’ll adopt, only one!!! Otherwise, I’d go broke saving as many as possible and get in legal trouble for hoarding cats. 😉 Not to mention, marital issues for bringing home a carload of kitties! Patrick would have Kittens! LOL 😀

 

Muncie Animal Shelter is also pretty cool and sneaky!

They have had a special promotion to have people come in and walk and get to know the puppies.

MOI and SnapChat

I finally downloaded the SnapChat app and have been having a blast with it.

I might post my SnapChat scan thingie here if anyone wants to friend me there. But this is the filter I used for today! I was going to use it on Social Media for the Day of the Dead but everyone is in a snit about cultural appropriation. I’m half Indian/half Irish. I’m good… I don’t get mad at ppl that yell on St Patrick’s day, at least they’re having fun! As for the Indian side, I wasn’t raised with all the cultural stuff- so again, I don’t get mad. I can understand why some do.  I do have issues with Columbus Day and Thanksgiving- but as I’ve grown and learned things- I’ve learned to live and let live and celebrate how I want to! And I’m for political correctiveness but there has to be a point where ppl don’t get all bent out of shape for a child to dress up for Halloween! It’s not being mean or disrespectful- unless they are doing blackface make-up and then I’m a little annoyed with that. I am a Wiccan, but I don’t get all bent out of shape for the dozens of kids dressing up as Witches! My little niece looked beautiful in her Witch outfit and I’m flattered she was a Witch honestly! 🙂 Even those adults that look more like a pro than a Witch well that’s how they want to be a Witch, more power to them.  I’d tell ppl to use Common Sense but honestly, that is truly a Super Power these days!

My opinion on Star Trek: Discovery

I have to pretend that it fits NOWHERE in Canon and then I’m good! People and other online review sites keep telling me that this is set 10 years before Kirk’s Enterprise. Okay! But I’m having mental issues trying to process that this ship which is by far technologically superior as well as their medical practices will later become the original series NCC 1701 Enterprise??? Yeah, NO! I’m not buying that! And I get it, our technology is better than it was in the 60’s. But for this design to go to that design and for the technology to go so far backward… NO, not buying it!

I do tend to agree with other Trek fans that this is a Section 31 ship, hello NCC 1031. 😉 I personally find that idea easier to process and quite enjoyable!  Article 14, Section 31 of the Charter made allowances for bending Starfleet regulations in times of extraordinary threat. This section was cited as the foundation for Section 31 even into the late 24th century.  Source
Especially since this Ship’s Captain doesn’t play by the rules, which we find out why in one of the latest episodes! Jason Issacs is the perfect choice for Captain Gabriel Lorca!

I’ve been on a lot of different sites and woohoo Ex Astris and I agree on the Klingons! WTH! Seriously, this is another one of those plot points I can’t process! They are so far different from the Klingons of Archer’s Era which explained why Kirk’s Klingon’s didn’t have ridge bumps on their foreheads and now, we’ve got completely different Klingon’s that are also cannibals! In one of the episodes, the female Klingon makes a statement, “I was there as you were eating the meat off of her smooth skull.” UM, that’s disgusting, but it’s a new Klingon! Seriously, these aren’t the Klingons that I’ve grown up with, and that my friends cosplay. I haven’t been to the Klingon Assault Group website yet… I’m almost afraid to read what they think. Joblow has an interesting article and I can agree with the fact that they might be Ancient Klingons. Because looking at the images below, the one on the right comes before the one on the left? UH, yeah, not buying it!

And once again, people are not liking the new theme music? OMG! I like it! Discovery Theme we can’t have the same song for all the series. It has bits to the original theme song! One of the reasons I really like it!

Others are complaining because a character said, Fuck! OMG! Um, if you know me, you know that is the least offensive thing. And really? Because a character said fuck, you no longer like it. Well, double dumb ass on you!

Did you all miss this in the Voyage Home?

The issues I have with the series are the extreme difference in the Klingons appearance and that the technology is far superior, the bridge of the Discovery reminds me of the bridge of the New Trek Enterprise. But friend’s keep telling me this is set in the Prime Universe, the Universe where the Kelvin never got destroyed by Nero!

Anyway, if I find out that it is a Section 31 ship then I will be a very happy Trekkie! So do I like it or not? I do like Discovery, it’s not the Trek I grew up with. But it is a good series on its own! The issues I have with it, are my issues, and a few others, but I’m not going to let that get in the way of me enjoying a New Trek on television. And that is a whole other issue!
