My last color…

Well the last one I did.

I’m setting up the new wacom and Adobe Photoshop CS6, hope to get some new one’s done.

so here is one that I did of my original character, Briana Storm and her men. I’ll let them introduce themselves in the comments! 😉

It’s sad to say goodbye!

However sometimes, it can be very cathartic and necessary for one’s mental health. Which is the case for me.

I love writing!

However. I am having to say Goodbye to an original character that has been in my life for a number of years. When we first started out together it was pretty cool. The character was created to help me deal with some things. And it worked. Then I hooked up with a co-writer, and that worked for a bit too. Until I realized that I was relying on them to write with me.

Yeah. That hasn’t turned out very well. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t me. Nor was it my story anymore… and if I wanted something done a certain way…well. no. Nothing against my co-writer. It’s not them, it was me. I didn’t like what was going on, and in actuality it was making me feel worse! I learned a long time ago, to rely on myself. Especially in certain things, and I missed writing for me, for stress relief, for the fun of it.

And as for saying good bye to that one character, well it’s not a complete break. It’s more of a caterpillar metamorphosis. And this may not be the end of that change, it may only be a transitional phase. But. It is breaking me out of a horrible rut where my writing has been. I didn’t lose the nano last year, because I didn’t have a story. I lost because I lost interest in the horrible mess that story was going! And that is when I started thinking… and a year later! I’ve decided! For now, Briana thank you, until we meet again. I’m not giving you up, love! I’m simply changing directions at this time in my life! ***And for anyone that has ever created a character out of nothing, yes it is like giving birth to a child. And yes, I so speak as if she is a living thing, for me, she has been.

So the announcement is coming earlier than I planned, however it’s time. It’s time for Alexandria Storm’s story to be heard. And this time, no co-writer. I forgot how good it feels to do this on my own.

Today is a piece I commissioned a few years ago of my Original Character, Briana Storm. She is a character in the Mirror Universe- Trek- alternative universe. LOL

okay, first the important RL stuff; Dad in law is in the paperwork process of being discharged. Hubs will be driving him home and helping him run some errands. Food, entertainment and other necessities. 🙂

And now, all hail teh plot bunneh!! YAY! She’s returned and has some really cool plot ideas. This is the first challenge I’m responding to, I’ve answered personal to me challenges. However this is the first open challenge and it’s the first time, I’ve written in the Stargate Universe. I’m excited!! And yeah, Briana is there!! But this one isn’t the Bri you know. 80% maybe… stay tuned.

snippet from the story I’m writing:

Briana tilts her head, and then looks into the Major’s eyes, “You have pretty eyes, Major. Mister Oozes the charm over here,” Briana pats John’s arm, “Seems to have a story to tell, and then I’ll share mine. And if no one else attacks me, then I think I could be persuaded to be a calm kitty girl.” Briana snorts and then giggles. “I haven’t been called that in at least a few years.”

John and Lorne both look at the woman as she’s giggling and snorts again. Once the transporter doors open, Briana pulls herself back to a semblance of normality and says, “Lead the way.”

John steps out first, and Lorne follows behind Briana.

Briana slows down a little bit, and waits for the Major to come up next to her, “Everything alright, Ma’am?”

“I was just going to ask if you were enjoying the view, Major.” Giggling Briana starts walking and catches up to John, as Lorne is dumbstruck, not knowing what to say.

John looks back to see his XO standing in the hall with a far off look on his face. Turning to Briana, “What did you do?”

“Who me?” Briana smiles at John, “While I’m not a hundred percent innocent, I didn’t do anything.”

I’m also working on a calendar for May! At this time, due to RL issues, I’m only making one, and it’s for my Flygirlie friends. 🙂 HUGS

Other than that, it’s a beautiful day outside, the sun is shining, the sky is blue! It’s 66 degrees Fahrenheit. I’ll be having my lunch outside today, and enjoying the fresh air.

Feeling fine and being awesome!

woohoo! Hello and happy Thursday!! 1 day till the weekend! 😀

I’ve been writing again, and it feels good! It’s been months since I’ve been thinking/remembering to write. After the issues with the head injury causing loss of memory, and then the high blood pressure issues. I’ve had a bit of problems remembering things.

I’m still reviewing my outlines/notes for stories that my co-writer and I were working on, and I do intend to get back to them. However, it’s been a while. And it’s been even longer since I’ve written a story by myself, I need…no I want to do this!

And while it’s a little slow going, I’m up to thirteen pages and 5, 459 words. Not to shabby. IMO. Especially since I’m writing this story in another established universe. It’s still my Briana that is a main character, write what you know, and I know my character. I haven’t lost any memory of her! =^.^=

Anywho it’s a beautiful day out, I’m not wearing my boots-sign that Spring is approaching. And I’ve ensured to complete all my paperwork before I keep typing up my story here at work. I only work on it inbetween appointments.

I need to see if one of my friends would be willing to draw an art piece of Briana in a Stargate Uni with Sheppard and Lorne. wish me luck on that.

first, yes I was a Val gal when I was younger. And can still switch to Val speak, in less than sixty seconds. LOL 😀 ask my best friend, he’s heard me.

so I have this ritual I do…we’re in a wip, work in progress. And I like to print out a hard copy to do my first round of Beta (proof reading work). Something about it…probably from my time as a TA, teacher’s assitant, and that I still do tutoring work with some college students. I like the red ink?? LOL 😀

But the OMG came from the fact, that this is a wip, and we’ve got 185 pages so far. We can write! Love it!! And we’re not done with this story. I’m going to be breaking out the chapters, as I beta it.

Yeah, I’m an unusual writer. I write the story, and then go back to chapter it out, if it needs it. this WIP, I think it needs it. 🙂

and on the plot bunny site…sorry, Snafu will be picked up soon…have you ever had a story that you know you need to finish…but you’re just not feeling it? That Plot Bunny is lying down…and shows no sign of interest at the moment. While the story wip we’re on right now. I can’t keep those Plot Bunnies corraled.

so going to find a red pen…:) and then do some beta work

I just completed a little story, six pages- that’s little! 😀

and this takes place before Briana is assigned to the Enterprise and before she meets Mac.
The character, Norman Bright is (C) Gary Pope. Who has given me wonderful compliments on the origin story of his character. Really hard to do origin work on another’s character. I’m soo happy that not only that he likes it, he appears to love it. Quote: “Once again I sit in awe of your magnificent writing prowess!
