Pretend To Be A Time Traveler Day
December 8, 2014 in the World
Created in 2007 by the Koala Wallop online community, Pretend To Be A Time Traveler Day is an annual event which combines elements of performance art, humour and plain old fun.
As the name suggests, the basic premise of the day is to pretend to be a time traveler, either from the past or from the future, who has somehow ended up in the present day.
For maximum effect, this role play should involve friends and a full costume, should take place in public places and should involve conversations complete strangers.
Get a group of friends together, dress up as time travelers from the future, ask strangers what year it is and respond in horror. Take on the character of a lone time traveler from the past and pretend to be amazed by all forms of modern technology. The possibilities are almost endless.

Take it in the Ear Day
December 8, 2014 in the World
Take it in the Ear Day is a bizarre day of unknown origin. is on all sorts of crazy holiday calendars and websites, but no one knows how it started or what it means. One web site said maybe we are just all spelling it wrong…add an “r” to the beginning of ear.
There is, however, a nifty tee-shirt you can buy commemorating the event. Perhaps tee-shirt designers are the ones behind TIITE day.

Most likely a day to listen to others. Listen to people at work, to friends on the phone and family

National Brownie Day
December 8, 2014 in the USA
National Brownie Day takes place on December 08, 2014. A chocolate brownie is a flat, baked square or bar developed in the United States at the end of the 19th century and popularized in both the U.S. and Canada during the first half of the 20th century. The brownie is a cross between a cake and a cookie in texture.
Brownies come in a variety of forms. They are either fudgy or cakey, depending on their density, and they may include nuts, frosting, whipped cream, chocolate chips, or other ingredients. A variation that is made with brown sugar and no chocolate is called a blondie.
Brownies are common lunchbox fare, typically eaten by hand, and often accompanied by milk or coffee. They are sometimes served warm with ice cream, topped with whipped cream or marzipan, or sprinkled with powdered sugar. They are especially popular in restaurants, where they can be found in variation on many dessert menus.

Otherwise known to me as Lammas. A Pagan/Wiccan holiday on the wheel of the year. One of the harvest festivals.

Today was also a hateful day against my friends in the LGBT community, as it was chick a butthead’s day for their whatever. I have friends that decided to do a non-violent protest and stage a kiss in. Yeah, LGBT members that had the stomach to go to a Chick fil a went and kissed in the restaurant. YAY! Other companies on line, KFC and I can’t remember the name of the other group, were saying come and have good chicken, without being basted in hate and ignorance. Go KFC!!

and a Group I belong to Lambda Legal, were asking for a donation, say the cost of a meal at Chick fil a to be donated to help support the LGBT community. I could do that. I also went to Moe’s southwest grill and had a lovely lunch there. I spend my money at places that don’t cater to hate, intolerance, bigotry and ignorance. It’s my money and I’ll spend it at places that I want to. Some moron on Facebook earlier, actually had the chutzpah to state he had the right to be a bigot, but that we didn’t have the right to put him out of business. UH dude! Okay, you’re right, you have the right to be a Bigot. But… with that being said. I have the right to do what I want, shop where I want with my money. And if your bigoted attitude causes people not to want to do business with you, than that is not my fault! That is yours! Own the responsibility of having the right to be a Bigot! Awww, poor widdle bigot… WAAH! I don’t have the time to give a fuck for you right now. Honestly!

Sorry, but there is to much other important issues in the world right now, in our economy. From the government level, to the state and down to our individual cities/towns. If people want people to do business with them, then be a responsible person, and keep your ‘beliefs’ out of the equation. Sounds simple enough, right? I mean look at the bru ha ha with Chick fil a, I know quite a lot of people, that chicken there is no longer an option. We have Mickey D’s, Wendy’s, KFC, hell most all other fast food places have a chicken sandwich. And the Muppets dropped them as well. You know you’re in trouble, when Kermit and company no longer want to be associated with you!

Anywho, it’s been a day. Not good, not bad. It has just been a day. The humidity was down, so that was good. My car was fixed, so that is good. I have friends that I’ve spoken to today, and that is awesome! and I’ll be heading home shortly, and hubs sent me an email that he has a big surprise for me, and dinner is waiting. Yeah, that is pretty good too!

I hope ya’ll have had a lovely day!! Keep Calm and drink some tea, read a book, pet a cat or a dog, and relax!

till later… *Air Kisses*

Operation, “Cheer M’Chel up!” Appears to be working!! and it’s so nice of ya’ll!! Hugs!

Yay for co-writers :D

I love writing. I can do it most anytime. But I’ve come to find out, that it is more fun, and sometimes the conversations are more realistic with a co-writer. Thank you Google Docs for real time writing with a partner. No more waiting on email replies.

yesterday was not the best day, and I wanted to write….my co-writer had the option to go out with real people for real social interaction. He decided to stay home, and write with me. aww! HUGS! and it worked, cheered me right up.

I write for lots of reasons, number one, it’s therapeutic for me. Number two, I have an active mind, that needs an outlet. Otherwise, I have stories that are stagnant in my mind. Now…I have an outlet for these ideas.

the original post on this I was working on, will still be posted, just not this weekend.
cause with a co-writer, there are other writing issues…any who, that post will be later. Right now, I’m just really happy that he’s writing with me. lol I still feel bad, but then again…I feel better. I
didn’t mean to be greedy, but I am. lol

thank you Stig!!

Life Lesson Learned

Earlier today I got a phone call…they gave a friend of mine, two hours. Not two days, two weeks, or even two months. Hours!

so I went to see my supervisor, and I was given the rest of the day off, two hours. Ironic.

Thank goodness we had said our goodbyes via phone….sucky, but better than nada.

By the time I arrived, I was hugged by her family.

Carolynn and I had met in the Army, Basic Training, and one day while sitting in a foxhole on a training exercise, we started talking. Found out we were from the same state, and I knew her family. I’ve known them most of my life. Small world.

Her twin brother had arrived earlier in the week. He was home on compassionate leave. I was a rock, helping the family, talking. Some days being a therapist is a really good thing. But when I saw him, I broke down. I was losing a friend, he was losing his twin.

Some days you are where you need to be, doing what you need to be doing. Don’t wait another minute, call your best friend, tell them you love them and appreciate them. I have! (Waves!) I have said it before and I’ll say it again, Friendship is the greatest gift of all. It costs nothing but time, time to nurture it, and time to be there when you’re needed.

The life lesson I learned, I wasn’t there for me. I was there for love and support. That is what she would have wanted me to be doing. It’s what she’s done for me, when I was going through my own bout with cancer. A real friend is one that rubs your back, and hands you a warm wet towel after the chemo sickness has claimed you.

This holiday season, go spend time with friends. We have technology-use it. If you can’t fly/drive to where they are, use facetime, hotmail messenger has a video function. Be creative. It is easy.
Just remember, you are here for a reason, you just may not realize it yet.

Welcome New Readers “HI!”
