now with the 5 my choices are limited- I have a pink Otter box. But I want a Hello Kitty or tokidoki case. 😛 why yes, I am a big kid!

And what a Friday it looks to be…

The dark clouds are moving in slowly, there’s a line of them outside of my office window. I think it’s beautiful in a way. A little unknown fact about me, I Love Storms!! I do. And I can feel the energy building up inside of me. The migraine is slowly receding. So it’s looking to be a beautiful day for me.

and one small lil teeny rant; If you have ‘unlimited’ data, how can you reach a limit?? I’m not able to post on twitter, facebook or even here from my phone. waaah 😦 the wifi in the building is centralized to one location and it blocks the fun stuff, i.e. facebook and twitter. 😛

And I’m looking at my gravatar, think I need to change it… oops random thought there. lol

the calendars have all been posted, and I’m not going to password protect them. I believe we’re all adults here. If something offends you, then don’t look. Otherwise, enjoy! 🙂

Happy Friday o.0

And so another round of wintery mix has been dumped into Indiana. It started last night, with an icy sleet. I was reading on my news feeds about slide-off’s and other accidents in Indianapolis. And then I started hearing it hit my roof. Wow, it was definitely loud. I fell asleep quite well listening to it.

Then this morning I get up, and it didn’t look that bad from the windows. It wasn’t until I had to pry my car door open and looked at the pretty ice buildup on my windows that it struck me, “Oh Hell!” lol 😛

So I started up the car, and the defrosters, found my ice-scraper and got to work. Until my fingers started getting all tingly from the water and the cold. I let the defroster do the work, and then used the windshield wipers to push it all away. Oh yeah, you have to love really good defrosters! well, I do.

I’m at work, and I’m wondering who is really going to be brave and go out in this weather? The roads aren’t iced over, but the snowy sludge is making them slick and difficult to drive on in areas. Personally, I would’ve stayed home myself. However my job, I am a ‘key’ personnel, and they will send the police to bring me in to work. No state emergencies for me. That is a mixed thing.

I’m thinking it’s time to bring out the ipdad and do some creativity. I downloaded a really cool new app, and I’m dying to try it out. It has a lot of functionality, but so far, the learning curve is a bit annoying. For free though, I’m willing to put up with the annoyance if it truly does what I want it to do. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again; if you have an iPhone, please download the AppsGoneFree app, you’d be amazed at what apps are offered for free!! Seriously, it’s worth it and it’s FREE!!

okay, time to watch people slide across the sidewalk in front of my window. It’s sad, but it’s still slightly entertaining. What? If they really get hurt, I’m right next to a phone, and then I’ll go help them too!! I’m a little evil, but not that evil! lol 😀

laters, and I probably will be posting the valentine’s day cards on the photo blog, I need to get them off my phone, and I really want to keep them. So when I can get to a laptop, I’ll organize them all. We’ll see if I can get them all in one post, but that’s highly doubtful. So just enjoy them!!

The new iphone 5 is synced, and I didn’t lose any apps, or pix. Oh yeah, have all my contacts too. LOL 😀

and so far, I really like the new updates to the apps I’ve been playing with; facebook- able to reshare on the go now, youtube-able to share directly to facebook, twitter, mail. Still playing with some of the other apps. See what their updates have done.

Unfortunately, all the lovely hardware I have to charge the phone on, no longer works since they changed the plug in at the base of the phone. Nice way to get us to spend more moola on the chargers. So the Hello Kitty speaker I have, I can still use with my original iPod and I intend to. Sometimes you just need some awesome tunes. 😀

I did get the car/phone charger, that is a must have! As to charging while at work, just have to ensure I have the proper cable to do so, until I can find an inexpensive charger/speaker that will work with the iPhone 5 now.

other than that, nothing to drastic going on….

Friday is free hug day at Monument Circle in Indianapolis, and I truly hope to be there to give and get some free hugs! Hope to see ppl I know there.

may be time to bite the bullet and sync from the laptop. let’s hope everything is in the ‘cloud’ and I don’t lose anything important. lol 😀

okay, so to distract myself from my weird legs…I’ve been playing on my phone. Tumblring, posting updates on Facebook, and replying to emails. I’ve also been playing around with this cute little app: Snowglobe Maker. And I’ve thought of a couple different uses for it.

I’m going to be photoshopping some of these globes onto a blank canvas, adding in some more christmassy stuff, and then using as a card, place settings, or what have you.

So wooohooo for my iPhone! 😀 lol

I’ve also found some cute vids that I swear the Plot Bunnies led me to, and shared them with my co-writer. Plot Bunnies are more fun when shared! at least I think so, and I can’t be the only one with a herd. lol Hey! What is a group of bunnies called?

Pod=group of dolphins,
Murder=group of crows.
And that’s all I can remember off the top of my head.

Found a great little app. Customizable-insert your pic or choose a theme. Plays holiday music & shake the phone for snow.

It’s also customizable with your music. you can play iTunes music too. You have to open iTunes first, and then open the app. Click on Music, if it plays what comes with the app, click Music again. Viola you have iTunes available now. Find your own Holiday music, click play. And yay!!! Your customizable snowglobe with your favorite Holiday Tunes. Sweet, huh?

& it’s Wednesday!

I’m at work, getting lots of good hugs today! It’s always a better day with Hugs!
My grandmother used to tell me, “To be a good human bean, you need five hugs a day!” Yes, Bean. It’s from a book she read. She is one of the people I get my love of reading from. She was a Librarian, but a very cool librarian. You know the type, “Hey, you will love this author. Give them a try.” And she wasn’t the type to go “SHHHH!” all the time, now she did shush people when there were others trying to read/study but otherwise she loved discussing new books, new authors. And no genre was off-limits to her. Yeah, I’m mainly a SciFi reader, but thanks to her I have branched out, and I do have a lot of favorite authors; Yasmine Galenorn, Mercedes Lackey, JR Ward, Dan Brown, Sidney Sheldon, and a variety of SciFi. I’m still trying to find a series by John Cleve. I think that’s a penname? Has anyone ever read John Varley? Titan, Wizard and Demon. I re-read those till the binding came undone. I’m trying to find new copies of those books. Perhaps digital if necessary.
I prefer reading a book, a real turn the pages book. However, I’m not a snob. I will download digital books to read on the go. iBooks on the phone and the pad is awesome! I leave off at one spot on the Pad, and the Phone picks up where I left off at. And I have been able to get books that I can not find locally, and honestly don’t have the patience to wait for Amazon. LOL 😀

So what books are you reading? or book?
Right now, I’m still keeping up on the Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward and the Otherworld series by Yasemine Galenorn. I’ve even preorderedd the digital book, to help. I want her to keep writing this series, and publishing companies keep track of the amount of preorders, which shows the demand for the series. Remember basic Econ, Demand equals supply! lol 😀

so back to reading and/or writing.
We’re working on a Holiday story, and so far it’s cute!! Lots of humor too!
hopefully we get it done in time for Christmas. Yule would be cutting it….LOL

So this is the last pic I took of myself on the 3G. The upgraded 4G is updating & syncing! Yay!

I love upgrades! And I’m going to love the 12 megapixel, with flash camera. Sweet!
